Radiator Contamination:
When an engine or transmission fails and needs to be replaced, often, the vehicle's radiator must be replaced as well. This is due to the engine or transmission contaminating the radiator with excessive gear shavings or other foreign objects at failure.

Service & Maintenance
While many of your vehicle's powertrain components such as the driveshaft and axle shafts don't require much routine maintenance, there are a few parts that need periodic attention.

• Check the engine oil level at every fuel fill and add oil if necessary
• About once a month, make sure all tires are inflated properly and check for any unusual wear or damage
• Have an underbody flushing performed approximately once a year
• The engine's exterior should be cleaned periodically. Buildups of oil and dirt can cause the engine to run hot or hide leaks
• Have your vehicle inspected if the Service Engine Soon light illuminates

Better than the original ones

They appear to have made some improvements on these lines over the original factory ones I took off. The hose ends are triple-crimped, whereas the originals are double-crimped. They fit fine and did not leak a drop so far.

My service manual says to replace the wire clips on the hose ends at the cooler, they did not come with it but my dealer was able to provide them (GM #15724727) for about $2 each. If you purchase these lines from a GM dealer the replacement wire clips are included. A plastic collar is provided instead which appears to serve no purpose except to carry replacement clips, but none were there.

The seal at the filter end is the better 1-piece seal. Overall I am happy with the quality of these compared to the originals.
