Heavy and well crafted

The holes aligned well into the body of the SUV. Its a bit too heavy duty for a couple of bikes but if you need it for an RV or boat you got it, this is perfect.

Hitch for 09 FX35

I bought the Curt Manufacturing hitch for my 2009 FX35 and installed it with ease. This hitch is rated for Class 4 (will not be needing all of that capacity, but good to know it's there). Definitely not as hard as I thought it would be, it took me about 30 minutes but I'll need another 30 minutes to cut the plastic underbody panels and reinstall. It has about 11 bolts that needs to be installed, all of which are supplied and easily accessible. Unfortunately, since it's an aftermarket brand, 2 of the holes do not line up; they're off by literally 1mm. I don't think these are too critical so I left them alone for now.

Good hitch but not easy to fit.

This item shipped in no time, the hitch is great and looks like it's built to last, I had some problems fitting it as it seemed to not quite be true so it took a fair bit of wiggling, pushing and bad language to get it on. Had it been perfectly true it would have been on in no time, however with all of the effort to get the holes to line up it took 3 of us around 3 hours, one of the holes still had no hope of lining up but we decided that there were already enough bolts on that side of the hitch to leave it off. One of the guys helping me had fitted a few in his time and said it's not uncommon to have problems like this. Now it's on it looks cool and is rock solid, I'll post a long term review when I've used it for a while.
