good for projects, well built

I bought this to use as part of a custom bumper for a hitch receiver mounted winch on an off-road truck. This was my receiver of choice because it has a very flat, straight, uniform body and flat bolting pattern. Good for bolting onto a flat surface, like the backside of my home-made bumper. This is rated for a 9,000 lb straight line pull according to curt. I've been using it with a 9,500 lb winch and it's held up great over the last year, has accumulated at least 20 pulls through mud, and hasn't rusted much. I've used it in heavy pulls at up to a 30-35 degree angle from perpendicular with no damage. Pretty well built piece.

I have not installed it yet but it looks to be a well made hitch. On arrival the box was broken open and some of the hardware was missing.
